Seminarium: How to raise 2 Million EUR in 12h: the potential for fundraising in the creator economy

betterplace.org is Germany’s largest donation platform. Throughout the last years their offering has more and more focused on collaborations with creators, streamers and influencers, all part of the so called “creator economy”. In 2024 alone more than 15 Mio EURs were raised inside these communities for hundreds of NGOs. More than 100.000 individual donations contributed to this success and show the gigantic potential for this grassroot fundraising channel. Björn from betterplace.org will share his experiences from this field of activity and provide some important do’s and dont’s. He will outline the opportunities and risks and would like to foster a discussion on whether NGOs should invest into the creator economy in order to attract new donors.
